कोयले की करो दलाली तो काले होते हाथ ।
धन काला छूने से तभी वह परहेज फ़रमाते,
दाता से कहकर सीधे खातों में जमा कराते ।
इसी वास्ते काले धन पर अपने शासक मौन,
काले धन को लाने में काले हाथ करेगा कौन?
रंग निखारने के लिए वह शीत देशों मे जाते,
श्वेत श्याम धन करने हेतु वहाँ खोलते खाते।
श्वेत श्याम धन समझो, जैसे अनुलोम विलोम,
स्वस्थ,प्रसन्न हो तन,मन भजता हरि ’ओंम’।

कलियुग के ’मोहन’
-ओंम प्रकाश नौटियाल
उठाते थे निज उंगली पर कभी पर्वत समूचा जो,
वह ’मन’’मोहन’ भी कितने आज लाचार से लगते ।
नचाते थे कभी वंशी की धुन पर गोपियाँ सारी,
उनको बेसुरे कुछ लोग, अपने अनाचार से ठगते ।
मनचलों की मनमानी, मनहूस मन्सूबों के किस्से ,
मन मन ही ’मोहन’ को किसी तलवार से चुभते।
सभी सृष्टि है ’मोहन’ की तभी मजबूरी है सहना,
यह मनसबदार सारे पर बडे मक्कार से लगते ।
’ओंम’ कलियुग घोर है तभी ’मोहन’ भी विवश हैं,
राजा कंस, शिशुपाल नहीं उनकी फ़टकार से डरते।

देहरा दून
-ओंम प्रकाश नौटियाल
वास्ता जिस शख्श का भी, कभी इस शहर से रहा,
इसकी यादों में खोया रहा, जिस भी शहर में रहा।
इसके हुस्न में ना कमी , ना कोई मुझे दाग मिला,
टहलता निकला जिधर, लीची,आम का बाग मिला।
हवा में ताजगी और सरगम, माहौल में सुकून है,
रहूं कहीं पर भी मगर बसा दिल में देहरादून है।
वास्ता जिस शख्श का भी, कभी इस शहर से रहा,

प्रेम दिवस

इस देश में हर दिन ही पहले प्यार की रुत थी,
है उस जमाने की बात जब फ़ुर्सत ही फ़ु्र्सत थी,
अब कहाँ वक्त रोज इश्क का इजहार कर सकें,
इस तेज रफ़्तार जीवन में ’उन्हे’ प्यार कर सकें,
लो आ गया है फिर से ’प्रेम दिवस’ का त्यौहार,
चलो मिल लें कहीं आज, बहा दें प्रेम की बयार,
’ओंम’ देखो प्यार को,पर ना इतने प्यार से देखो,
काफ़ी है ’प्रेम दिवस’ शेष दिन व्यापार को देखो।

मायावी जूते

जूते में आपके जब कभी रजकण को देखा है,
यकीं मानों नजारा यह दुखते मन से देखा है,
तत्क्षण उन्हे दमका,चेहरा उस दर्पण में देखा है,
उज्जवल है भविष्य अपना, समर्पण में देखा है,
पुलिस वालों से ज्यादा, न ’माया’ जाल समझोगे
’माया’ से मिले ’माया’, लिखा कण कण में देखा है।
जूते में आपके जब कभी रजकण को देखा है,

रोशनी में तुम रहो

रोशनी में तुम रहो,और रोशनी में हम रहें,
रोशन रहें खुशियां जो अंधेरों में गम रहें।
जितने बने थे दोस्त वो रकीबों के यार थे,
बस मेरे ही पाँव थे जो मेरे हम कदम रहे।
सोचता हूं कर लूं अब तुम्हारे प्यार से तौबा,
बची जिन्दगी मे मेरी भी चैन-ओ-अमन रहे।
आराम से जीने को क्या कुछ नहीं मिलता,
पर चैन तो तब है जो हसरतें ही कम रहे।
’ओंम’ दुनियाँ देती रही ताकतवरों का साथ,
साँस तब तक है जब तक तुम में दम रहे।

१६ जनवरी -मेरा जन्म दिन

१६ जनवरी आई है,
वह तिथि जो
याद दिलाती है प्रति वर्ष,
मेरा पृथ्वी पर आना,
और बताना कि
मैं अजन्मा नहीं रहा,
बृह्मान्ड के किसी कोने में
कहीं तनहा पडा नहीं रहा,
अब मैं सांसारिक हूं, जैविक हूं,
वर्षों से धरती का अंग हूं,
कुछ के लिए अंतरंग,
कुछ के लिए मात्र प्रसंग हूं,
कुछ का अजीज हूं
कुछ के लिए अजनबी।
पढाती है यह तिथि,
उम्र के गणित का वैचित्र्य,
जिसमें एक वर्ष का योग,
अर्थात वय से एक वर्ष का वियोग।

ले जाती है यह तिथि
गलियारे में बचपन के,
जब इस दिन माता पिता,
मुझे तुला पर बैठा कर,
मेरे भार बराबर
करते थे अन्नदान,
पूजा होती थी,
एक उत्साह रहता था,
क्योंकि यह दिन ले जाता था
मुझे और करीब युवा उम्र के,
यानि शिखर की ओर ।

और अब यह तिथि धकेल रही
वर्ष प्रतिवर्ष मुझे,
कदम दर कदम नीचे की ओर,
शिखर छूट गया पीछे की ओर,
ढलान में संभाल की आवश्यकता है,
यात्रा अब कुछ कठिन है,
पर यही वास्तविक परीक्षा है,
आपकी शुभकामनाओं की
अब अधिक अपेक्षा है ।

मेरी पतंग

मित्रों वह जो पीली लाल,
उडती उडती लहराती है,
लहरा लहरा कर उडती है,
गगन की शान बढाती है,
वह नील गगन की रानी,
मेरी पतंग शहजादी है,
उससे पेंच लडाना चाहो
इसकी तुमको आजादी है,
पर उसको काट गिराओगे,
यह मात्र तुम्हारी भ्रान्ति है,
क्योंकि मेरी प्यारी पतंग
विजेता मिस मकरसक्रांति है।
मित्रों वह जो पीली लाल,

नव वर्ष आ रहा है

नव वर्ष आ रहा है , नव वर्ष आ रहा है ,
ढेरों पलों मे भर क्या क्या ये ला रहा है ।
कुछ पल निश्चय ही मीठे मधुर भी होंगे,
मिलन की चाह में, प्रिय कैसे आतुर होंगे,
शुभघडी की आस में,मन मस्त गा रहा है,
नव वर्ष आ रहा है, नव वर्ष आ रहा है ।
बारह महीनों में कितने काम करने होंगे,
मेरे भी हैं सपने,कुछ प्रीतम के सपने होंगे,
सपनों के सागर में मन हिलोंरे खा रहा है,
नव वर्ष आ रहा है, नव वर्ष आ रहा है ।
कुछ पलों में छुपा, दुख का कोई फ़साना,
आखिर तो जग नश्वर,लगा है आना जाना,
इस मौके पर कभी यह डर भी सता रहा है
नव वर्ष आ रहा है, नव वर्ष आ रहा है ।
समय के साथ चलना है तेरी जिन्दगानी,
समय फिसल गया तो बेकार जिन्दगानी,
वक्त बेवक्त वक्त,बस यही समझा रहा है,
नव वर्ष आ रहा है, नव वर्ष आ रहा है ।
तुम्हारे पलों में होंगी पिछ्ले पलों की बातें,
अपनों के प्यार की और छ्लकपट की बातें,
कुछ किस्सों की याद से मन पछ्ता रहा है,
नव वर्ष आ रहा है , नव वर्ष आ रहा है ।
पावन परिणय कुछ होंगे, नाचेंगे मीत सारे,
नवजात किलकारियाँ भी गूंजेगी तेरे द्वारे,
जो कुछ संजोया होगा सब याद आ रहा है,
नव वर्ष आ रहा है , नव वर्ष आ रहा है ।

भोर में दिखता धुंधलका शाम का है,
ऐसे में प्रतीक्षा है,नववर्ष आने की,
यह वर्ष कुछ देर का मेहमान सा है।
’ओंम’ सब मित्रों को नववर्ष शुभ हो,
समय श्रम का है, नहीं विश्राम का है।
सर्द मौसम,कोहरे का कोहराम सा है,
भोर में दिखता धुंधलका शाम का है,

अपने देश में रेलों की भूमिका बडी अहम,
हर मुश्किल में ये हैं,अपनी सच्ची हमदम,
बात हो जायज,नाजायज पटरी पर आ जा,
माँग न पूरी हो जब तक, उठ कर ना जा,
मित्रों के संग गप मार,उडा उत्तम भोजन,
मंत्री खुद वहाँ आयेंगे,उनका वोट प्रयोजन,
क्या लेना तुझे,रुके जो ट्रेन्स का आना जाना,
इतना सोच हो कैसे , खुद का सफ़र सुहाना,
ट्रेनें रोक,पटरी तोड,जहाँ चाहे आग लगा जा,
कुछ नहीं होगा तुझे,तू अपनी मर्जी का राजा,
’ओंम’ बोलो जय देश ,धन्य अपना लोकतंत्र,
तोडफोड,आगजनी,हिंसा को, हर कोई स्वतंत्र ।

सखी मैं तो प्याज दिवानी

मुहब्बत मे तेरी दिवानी,ओ प्याज, आज भी हूं,
तुझ पर चलाकर छुरी,अश्क बहाती आज भी हूं,
पर कीमत लगाई तूने,जो आने की मेरे दर पर,
उससे परेशां कल थी,और परेशाँ मैं आज भी हूं।
मुहब्बत मे तेरी दिवानी,ओ प्याज, आज भी हूं,
तुझ पर चलाकर छुरी,अश्क बहाती आज भी हूं,
पर कीमत लगाई तूने,जो आने की मेरे दर पर,
उससे परेशां कल थी,और परेशाँ मैं आज भी हूं।
पंछी व्योम में

दिवाली इस बार भी आई, और आकर चली गई,
नकली रोशनी से उम्मीद का अब भ्रम नहीं होता।
मचा देश में कुहराम और चैन की वो नींद सोते हैं,
भूखा पेट है सदियों से किसी मौसम नहीं सोता।
मोम सा दिल उनका,मगर फिसलता है इस कदर
किसी का गम नहीं रुकता, कहीं जुडना नहीं होता।
’जेड’ सुरक्षा का उन पर कुछ ऐसा सख्त पहरा है,
जनता का कोई कष्ट हो, वहाँ पहुंचना नहीं होता।
देश की पूंजी को वो अपनी ही जागीर समझे हैं,
खुले आम चट करते हैं, पर उनको कुछ नहीं होता।
’ओंम’ पंछी व्योम में, बडे सुखी स्वच्छंद उडते हैं,
क्योंकि वहाँ धर्म, देश , नेता सा कुछ नहीं होता ।

बेसिरपैर की वोटीली खबरों के प्रणेता हैं।
उलटफ़ेर चाहो कोई,हम उसमें भी माहिर हैं,
ऐसे सच को झूठ कर दें,जो जग जाहिर है।
जोडने की ओट में, देश को तोड सकते हैं,
वोटों के लिए तथ्यों को भी मरोड़ सकते हैं।
हों शौर्य के किस्से, या शहीदों की शहादत,
हर मुद्दे पे सियासत, तो अपनी रही आदत।
बडे हथकण्डों से भाई, यह कुर्सी मिलती है,
कुर्सी से धडकता दिल और साँस चलती है।
तुम सोचते हो ग्रीवा दर्द कारण से ऐंठे है,
अरे,कन्धों पे ’ओंम’ देश को संभाले बैठे हैं।
दिग्विजयी अर्थात दिशाओं के विजेता हैं,

पहाडों की दाल

कक्षा सात विज्ञान परीक्षा में,यह पूछा गया सवाल,
पहाडों पर लम्बे समय तक क्यों नही गलती दाल?
क्या हैं कारण इसके बच्चों, विस्तार से समझाना,
आखिर क्यों इतना मुश्किल है, दाल वहाँ गलाना ?
अनुभव का जो उत्तर था, वह लगा एकदम सच्चा,
सीधे तथ्यों से परिपूर्ण,जिनसे वाकिफ़ बच्चा बच्चा,
लिखा,पहाडों पर स्त्रियाँ करती, बाहर के कई काम,
होती भोर व्यस्त हो जाती, भाग्य में नही आराम।
सुबह उठकर जंगल से वह, लकडियाँ बीनने जाती,
दूध दुहें, कण्डे पाथें, तब फिर चश्में से पानी लाती।
घास लाएं, कुट्टी भी काटें, पशुओं को चारा खिलाएं,
इतने अधिक हैं काम सुबह के, कहाँ तक गिनवाएं।
यह सब करने के बाद ही फुरसत कुछ मिल पाती,
चुल्हा ,सिगडी सुलगा कर तब उस पर दाल चढाती।
देर से दाल चढेगी जब,तो फ़िर देर से ही तो पकेगी
यही कारण है कि पहाडों पर,जल्दी दाल नहीं गलेगी।
मुझको बडे जंचे यह कारण सीधे, मासूम और नेक,
परीक्षक ने जाने क्या सोचा पर, अंक दिया न एक ।
पहाडों का जीवन ऐसा , शहरी सुविधाएं बनी मुहाल,
’ओंम’ इसीलिए वहाँ , सबकी नही गल पाती दाल ।

मेरी धरती तुझसे जो मिला,
जब उस दुलार की बातें होंगी,
तेरी अप्रतिम छ्टा, सौन्दर्य ,
और अद्भुत शान की बातें होंगी ।
२
तेरी घाटियों के घुमाव,
निर्मल नदियों के बहाव,
सुन्दर वादियों, पगडंडियों की,
चढ़ाई , ढलान की बातें होंगी।
३
तेरे खेत, बाग, वन,घाटियाँ,
ताल , नदियाँ, वादियाँ
सभी दिलकश नजारों की,
प्रकृति के वरदान की बातें होगी ।
४
गर्मी की बेइंतहा तपस,
तपायेगी तुझसे बिछडों को,
शान्त वादियों की छाँव ,
खुले आसमान की बातें होंगी ।
५
याद आयेंगे वीर बाँके जवाँ,
जो तेरी गोद में खेले,पले
वतन पर हुए शहीदों के जब ,
शौर्य, बलिदान की बातें होंगी।
६
तेरे लोगों की सादगी ,प्यार,
सुख, दुख में होना भागीदार,
याद बहुत आयेंगे कहीं, जब
रहम दिल इंसान की बातें होगी ।

तमाशे त्योहार ,रेले ,मेले,
लोक नृत्यों व गीतों की कशिश,
मन में उठेगी कसक, जब
मधुर संगीत व तान की बातें होंगी।

खनकती घन्टियाँ मंदिर की ,
दूर से आई मस्जिद की अजान ,

मुन्नी और ’विक्की’ बाबू

मुन्नी
अबला गरीब मुन्नी तो बदनाम हो गई,
भर दुपहरी में ही उसकी शाम हो गई,
बेच रहे देश को उन्हें सब कुछ माफ़ हैं,
रुतबा है धाक है,और दामन भी साफ़ है।
’विक्की’ बाबू
’विक्की’ बाबू ने की, घर की सब बातें लीक,
मित्रवत जो लगते ,था उनका चलन न ठीक,
मगरमच्छ के आँसू लेकर गम में हुए शरीक,
बाम लगाते रहे दर्द पर,बनकर जनाब शरीफ़,
दगाबाजों की पोल खोल ,गुम की सिट्टि पिट्टी,
बेनकाब कर दिए चेहरे, वाह रे बाबू ’विक्की’।

दोहे कुछ भृष्ट कुछ शिष्ट

इतने बरसों में हमने देखी हैं जाने कितनी जाँच,
किस नेता पर कब आई? जो अब आएगी आँच ।
कितने ताने मारो हमको कितने ही करो कटाक्ष,
साक्ष्य वही सच्चे जिनको हम नेता मानें साक्ष्य।
कारगिल की धरती पर लडते हुए शहीद जवान,
अपने भाई यहाँ हडप गये उनके जमीन मकान।
वक्त की दी हुई झुर्रियाँ,न पाट सका कोई क्रीम,
चिर युवा रहना महज,बस एक ड्रीम रहेगा ड्रीम।
धरती माँ तेरी खातिर हमने, कितने ही जंग लडे,
जख्म तुझे खुद देनें में माँ, पर हम थे बढे चढे।
कानून के भारत देश में, बडे ही लम्बे लम्बे हाथ,
पास खडे अपराधी पकडें,नहीं इनके बस की बात।
किसी धर्म या जाति का हो,है सबको इससे प्यार,
सचमुच धर्मनिरपेक्ष अगर कोई,तो है ’भृष्टाचार’।
अपाहिज तन प्रभु इच्छा, पर मन हो निर्मल नेक,
तन तंदरूस्त से क्या मिले,जो मन में खोट अनेक।
अति सुन्दर सदा लगती आई पर नारी और साली,
उनकी हो रूखी सूखी थाली,लगती है व्यंजन वाली ।
नैतिक और कानूनी दो पक्ष जुडे हर कार्य के साथ,
तुमको सही लगे वह करो,फिर फ़ैसला ईश्वर हाथ।
पुतले उनके जला रहे तुम कितने वर्षो से ऐ मित्र ,
असली रावण पर निरंकुश विचरें यत्र,तत्र, सर्वत्र ।
हम तो रहें सलामत, हमारे स्विस खाते में कैश रहे ,
’ओंम’फिर क्या क्लेश हमें,चाहे यहाँ रहें परदेश रहें।

दोहे खेल के

खेलों के आयोजक बाँटते रोज अनूठा ज्ञान,
माप दंड गर बदल दो गूलर भी पकवान।
सब चीजें भगवान की कुछ गन्दा न साफ़,
कीच वाली नज़र से साफ़ न लगता साफ।
खेल खेल में चली दुरन्तो दलाली वाली रेल,
पहले से खाए पिए तो भी माल रहे हैं पेल।
सोचें सारे गाँव देश के, कैसा यह खेल गाँव,
करोडों गया डकार पर नहीं वृक्षों की छाँव।
पुल टूटे ,सीलिंग गिरे, छोटी मोटी है बात,
छोटे अपशकुन ही बचाते बडी बडी वारदात।
मुद्दत में मौका मिला, मत जाना कहीं चूक,
माल-ए-मुफ़्त गटकने से खुलती,बढ़ती भूख।
’ओंम’ रोम रोम से बस यही दुआ है आज,
खेल सफल निर्विघ्न हों बचे देश की लाज।

तेरी भी है मेरी भी, ये ’कामन वैल्थ" है यारों,
मिल बाँट के खा लें, तो इसमें शर्म क्या यारों।
ऐसा घर फूंक तमाशा,रोज तो होता नहीं यारों,
रुपया रोज तो पानी सा यूं बहता नहीं यारों।
’खेल खतम पैसा हजम’, सुनते आए हो यारों,
’पैसा गटक कर के खेलो तो क्या हर्ज़ है यारों।
ये कुम्भ यहाँ इस बार तो मुश्किल से आया है,
डुबकी नही लगाई गर, तो पछताओगे यारों।
खेल खेल में खाओगे,तो कहाँ कुछ दोष है यारों,
गर लूट भी लो मजे मजे में पूरा कोष ए यारों।
’ऒंम’ कल माडी अगर सेहत तुम्हारी हो गई,
डाक्टर कहेगा ठीक से तुमने खाया नहीं यारों ।

बाँधों का छलकना ,
नदियों का उफान,
बहते मवेशी ,
गिरते ढहते मकान ।
भीगती लकडियाँ ,उपले कण्डे,
सडकों में नाले, बडे बडे गद्ढे ।
टपकती छतें ,भीगती. लटें,
मेढ़क की टर्र टर्र , किवाडों की चरमर,
कडकती बिजली , गरजते बादल,
हरे हरे खेत, भरे भरे ताल ।
मच्छर और मक्खी ,
धान और मक्की ।
सावन के झूले , तीज का त्योहार,
शिव पूजा के श्रावणी सोमवार !
व्यवस्था पस्त,
जनता त्रस्त ,
पंद्रह अगस्त !
अमरूद ,भुट्टे, जामुन ,आम ,
इन्द्र धनुषी शाम !!
शह और मात !
वाह री बरसात !!!

भगवान का लाख लाख शुक्र है ३६ दिन बाद उसे होश आ गया !

मित्रॊं ! अब वह कौमा से बाहर है ,फ़िलहाल चिन्ता की कोई बात नहीं है ।
३६ दिन तक लगातार कौमा में रहने के बाद कल साँय ५ बजे उसने बात की ।
घर में इतने लम्बे अर्से के बाद फिर से खुशियाँ लौट आई ।चार वर्ष की अल्पायु में उसे अनेकों बार बेहोशी के लम्बे दौरे पड.चुके हैं , विशेषज्ञों की हर बार बस एक ही राय होती है।मौसमी बिमारी है ठीक हो जाएगी,आजकल तो बहुत से बिमार हैं । सचमुच बिमारी मौसमी है ,तभी तो हर मौसम में हो जाती है ।
जिस अस्पताल से उसका जन्म हुआ था वहाँ के लगभग सभी डाक्टरॊं से मैने रोज ही उसकी दशा के बारे में बात की , घर पर देखनें तो कोई नही आया , हाँ , एक दो दिन में ठीक हो जाने की जबानी तसल्ली अवश्य मिलती रही । मुझे उनकी संवेदनहीनता पर कई बार क्रोध भी आता था, पर उनका पाला तो रोज ऐसे कितने ही दुखी जनों से पडता था । दास्त्तां-ए-गम सुनने का उन्हे बहुत अभ्यास था ।
पर मेरी परेशानी हर गुजरते दिन के साथ बढती जा रही थी ।तीस दिन गुजरने के बाद तो चिन्ता घोर निराशा में बदलने लगी । यह नन्हा क्या कभी फिर से होश में आ पाएगा ? सभी लोगों की आवाज में बोलने में सक्षम, क्या यह फिर चहचहाएगा, किलकारियाँ मारेगा ? मित्रॊं और रिश्तेदारों के साँत्वना स्वर भी अब चुभने लगे थे।सबसे ज्यादा तकलीफ तो तब होती थी जब गुजरात से बाहर रहने वाले मित्र व रिश्तेदार मोबाइल पर फोन कर कुछ इस तरह की बातें कह्ते थे , " अरे क्या हुआ , ऐसी बिमारी तो हमारे यहाँ भी होती रहती है, एक दो दिन में इलाज़ हो जाता है । गुजरात तो इतना विकसित प्रदेश है ,वहाँ सब सुविधाएं उपलब्ध हैं ।फिर वहाँ इस साधारण बिमारी को इतना गंभीर रुप क्यॊं लेने दिया गया ? तीन चार महीने पहले भी वह इसी तरह लम्बी बेहोशी में चला गया था । "
इन बातों का मेरे पास कोई जवाब नहीं था । बस दर्द और बढ़ जाता था । सबकुछ सुनना पड रहा था ।
तीन दिन पहले ही मैंने अंतिम प्रयास के रुप में अस्पताल के प्रमुख ,जो अहमदाबाद के बडे अस्पताल में बैठते हैं, उन्हें ई-मेल द्वारा विस्तार से बिमारी के इतिहास व सभी लक्षणों से अवगत कराया । अब उन्होने वडोदरा में अपने मातहत डाक्टरों को क्या सलाह दी यह तो मैं नहीं जानता , पर कल साँय पाँच बजे उसके अचानक बोल उठने से घर भर आश्चर्य मिश्रित खुशी में झूम उठा ।
३६ दिन बाद आखिरकार मेरे बी एस एन एल के लैन्ड लाइन फोन २६३५२६६ को नई जिन्दगी मिली । सब परम पिता परमात्मा की कृपा है , व आप जैसे मित्रों की शुभकामनाओं का फल है। दुआ किजिए कि मेरे चहेते को फिर कभी यह बिमारी ना लगे और वह हमेशा खट्टी मीठी बातों से घर में रौनक बनाए रक्खे ।

मित्रॊं ! अब वह कौमा से बाहर है ,फ़िलहाल चिन्ता की कोई बात नहीं है ।
३६ दिन तक लगातार कौमा में रहने के बाद कल साँय ५ बजे उसने बात की ।
घर में इतने लम्बे अर्से के बाद फिर से खुशियाँ लौट आई ।चार वर्ष की अल्पायु में उसे अनेकों बार बेहोशी के लम्बे दौरे पड.चुके हैं , विशेषज्ञों की हर बार बस एक ही राय होती है।मौसमी बिमारी है ठीक हो जाएगी,आजकल तो बहुत से बिमार हैं । सचमुच बिमारी मौसमी है ,तभी तो हर मौसम में हो जाती है ।
जिस अस्पताल से उसका जन्म हुआ था वहाँ के लगभग सभी डाक्टरॊं से मैने रोज ही उसकी दशा के बारे में बात की , घर पर देखनें तो कोई नही आया , हाँ , एक दो दिन में ठीक हो जाने की जबानी तसल्ली अवश्य मिलती रही । मुझे उनकी संवेदनहीनता पर कई बार क्रोध भी आता था, पर उनका पाला तो रोज ऐसे कितने ही दुखी जनों से पडता था । दास्त्तां-ए-गम सुनने का उन्हे बहुत अभ्यास था ।
पर मेरी परेशानी हर गुजरते दिन के साथ बढती जा रही थी ।तीस दिन गुजरने के बाद तो चिन्ता घोर निराशा में बदलने लगी । यह नन्हा क्या कभी फिर से होश में आ पाएगा ? सभी लोगों की आवाज में बोलने में सक्षम, क्या यह फिर चहचहाएगा, किलकारियाँ मारेगा ? मित्रॊं और रिश्तेदारों के साँत्वना स्वर भी अब चुभने लगे थे।सबसे ज्यादा तकलीफ तो तब होती थी जब गुजरात से बाहर रहने वाले मित्र व रिश्तेदार मोबाइल पर फोन कर कुछ इस तरह की बातें कह्ते थे , " अरे क्या हुआ , ऐसी बिमारी तो हमारे यहाँ भी होती रहती है, एक दो दिन में इलाज़ हो जाता है । गुजरात तो इतना विकसित प्रदेश है ,वहाँ सब सुविधाएं उपलब्ध हैं ।फिर वहाँ इस साधारण बिमारी को इतना गंभीर रुप क्यॊं लेने दिया गया ? तीन चार महीने पहले भी वह इसी तरह लम्बी बेहोशी में चला गया था । "
इन बातों का मेरे पास कोई जवाब नहीं था । बस दर्द और बढ़ जाता था । सबकुछ सुनना पड रहा था ।

काम सारे बैठे ठाले हो गये

अब कहाँ रहा है भय्या वर्ग भेद,
नेता ,गुन्डे हम निवाले हो गये ।

सुख राम जी उनके नसीब में कहाँ,
घर में छुपाए पैसे काले हो गये ।

विकास की प्रखर गति तो देखिए,
नदियों के बदले रूप नाले हो गये ।

पेस मेकर धडका रहा उनका दिल
सुनते हैं वो पैसे वाले हो गये ।
-५-
अपनी गंदगी को नहीं देखा कभी ,
जब गये बस्ती , मैकाले हो गये ।
-६-
आस्था के प्रतीक चिन्ह आज कल ,
महज छुरे , डंडे और भाल्रे हो गये ।

जब से समाज सेवा की ठान ली,
उनके तो रंग ढंग निराले हो गये ।

मंत्री जितने दिन रहे अंकल सखी,

Anand has been continuously in the top five in the World ranking list for the past two decades .This is his fourth World title in eleven years in a highly competitive sport played by almost over 125 Nations with average ELO rating above 2000.

Om Prakash Nautiyal: I am very impressed with the devotion and determination of Heads of various Sports Federations in India and their spirit of – “ never say quit”. Government must allow them to serve Indian sports till India wins an Olympic gold medal in the respective games they head or up to a life term, whichever is later of course !
Om Prakash Nautiyal: It is said that Cricket is the only game where you gain weight while playing. In IPL it was not the players alone, but also Members of IPL Organizing body and Franchise owners etc. , who gained so much (money) weight that now they find it very difficult to move out of IPL.
Om Prakash Nautiyal: To all my friend who are going through difficult times I can only say not to worry any more as good days are ahead .See tomorrow is Sature day followed by Sun day.So cheer up please
Om Prakash Nautiyal: Somebody has pointed to this amazing fact that the amount of news that happens in the world every day exactly fits the news paper.So if IPL is churning out more news these days, the other important events have themseleves reduced their occurence in a nice gentlemenly gesture to make space for it.

Om Prakash Nautiyal: To day is 15th April, the birth day of Himachal Pradesh.I congratulate all my Himachali friends and relatives,including my wife, on this auspicious occassion.Incidentally I happen to be in Shimla these days. This beautiful Hill station,however, like many of our politicians and models, is loosing its cool .Shimla's temperature on this year’s Himachal day is 4-5 degrees more than the average temperature during this period.

देवदार का वृक्ष -ओंम प्रकाश नौटियाल
शिमला की एक ऊंची पहाडी पर,
मैं देवदार का वृक्ष हूं ,
यहाँ मेरा वर्षों पुराना वास है ।
पहले मेरा एक भरा पूरा
परिवार होता था ,
मैं बन्धु बान्धवों से घिरा रहता था ,
आज मैं अकेला यहाँ उदास खडा हूं ,
सच पूछो तो मृत्यु शय्या पर पडा हूं ।
याद आते हैं अतीत के वो दिन,
जब दूर तक मेरे अपनों का बसेरा था ,
रंग बिरंगे कितने ही पक्षियों का डेरा था ,
अनेक जीवधारियों ने हमें घेरा था ,
सब हमारे मीत थे ,
गूंजते हर ओर उनके गीत थे ।
फ़िर कहीं बाहर से ,
एक मानव यहाँ आय़ा,
हमारे बीच उसने अपना घर बनाया,
मेरे कुछ मित्रॊं को गिरा कर उसे सजाया।
मेरे अपनों की कानन वाडी मध्य,
उसका आवास बना,
समय के साथ अपने साथियों के संग,
वह इस क्षेत्र में फ़ैलता रहा,
हमारे निर्मम विनाश को,
अपना विकास समझ खेलता रहा ।
पहले हमारे जंगल मध्य,
एक आध मानवी आवास था ,
अब चारों ओर जंगल है कन्क्रीट का ,
और उसके बीच, मैं तनहा,
तथाकथित विकास का गवाह,
अपने दिन गिन रहा हूं ।
मुझे शिकायत है उन भीष्म पितामहों से,
जो हर युग में द्रौपदी के चीरहरण के,
मूक दर्शक मात्र रहते हैं ।
और अपने अंतिम समय में ,
शर शय्या पर लेटे लेटॆ पश्चाताप कर,
अपने कर्तव्य की इति श्री समझ लेते हैं ।

मकान या घर

मकान बनाने में कष्ट कितने लोग सहते हैं,
कुछ कहने वाले नहीं उसे पर घर कहते हैं ,
देते हैं तर्क कि घर तो घरवाली से होता है ,
ना कि दिवारों ,बावर्ची या माली से होता है,
तो भाई! कुंवारेपन पर जो "अटल"रहते हैं,
क्या वो उम्र भर नहीं अपने घर में रहते है?
’बेघर’ थे क्या भूतपूर्व राष्ट्रपति श्री कलाम?
ऐसा भी क्या सोच कोई सकता है ,हे राम!
मकान कहो , घर कहो, दोनों के एक अर्थ हैं,
इस विषय पर अब अधिक चर्चा ही व्यर्थ है ,
मकान के स्वामी, कुंवारे मित्रों से गुजारिश है,
यह फ़र्क तुम्हे दामाद बनाने की साजिश है ।

२८ अप्रैल को दूर दर्शन पर साँय ७.१५ बजे श्री अशोक चक्रधर द्वारा संचालित श्रंखला बद्ध कार्यक्रम " चले आओ चक्रधर चमन में " प्रसारित किया गया । इस बार का विषय था -’कपडा लत्ता क्या है इसकी महत्ता ’ । कार्यक्रम में कपडे के इतिहास व पोशाकों में समय के साथ आने वाले बदलाव सम्बंधी जानकारी को चक्रधर जी ने बेहद रोचक शैली में पेश किया ।कविवर डा. विष्णु सक्सेना के साथ उनकी युगल बन्दी अत्यंत प्रभावशाली थी । डा. विष्णु सक्सेना ने अपनी मधुर आवाज में कुछ प्रासंगिक गीत भी पेश किए । ऐसे कार्यक्रम पेश करने के लिए दूरदर्शन को बधाई ।अन्य चैनल्स तो अति व्यवसायिकता की शिकार हैं इसलिए फ़िल्म व क्रिकेट के दायरे से बाहर आने में जोखिम समझती हैं , लिहाजा हमारी नई पौध को स्वस्थ मनोरंजन की तरफ़ ले जाने में उनका योगदान नगण्य है।
इस कार्यक्रम में चक्रधर जी ने इस विषय पर टिप्प्णी स्वरुप भेजी गई कुछ रचनाएं भेजने वालों के चित्र के साथ अपनी आवाज में पढकर सुनाई । मेरे द्वारा रचित चार पंक्तिया भी पढ कर सुनाई गई , जो इस प्रकार हैं ।
कुछ फ़ैशन के मारे नंगे, औरों की मजबूरी है,
कपडा लत्ता पर भय्याजी, सबके लिए जरूरी है ।
नेता लोग चुनाव जीत, जब पाना चाहें सत्ता,
वोटिंग की पूर्व संध्या पर बंटवाते कपडा लत्ता ।

OM's Law on Earnings of a Cricket Match

The amount of money earned in a Cricket match is inversely proportional to the total numbers of overs in the match.
The earnings have been found to be sky rocketing as we have reached the shorter 20-20 version of the game from five day tests en-route 50 overs ODIs . The earnings may further multiply many times if we can reduce the match overs to only one super over , sand witched between dances of cheer girls , ramp walks by Cricketers , film stars ,models and other entertaining stuff for which the cricket without the bat and ball is known of.
It can easily be derived with the help of modern theory of economics, and higher mathematics that revenue earned in the match will be infinite if the overs bowled are zero but then many of our cricket experts may say , “Oh! That is not Cricket.” It is ,therefore, imperative that we pretend to keep our love for cricket at the forefront and organize cricket matches with some flavour of cricket in it and not try to reduce the Cricket match overs any further from the level of one super over per match .Any further change in match format may also adversely affect fast growing popularity of Cricket in the World.
They tell us that the successful staging of IPL3 has given a big boost to the popularity of Cricket world over and now the number of Nations playing competitive cricket has exceeded ten , Afghanistan being the latest addition. The popularity index in terms of Cricket playing Nations at present is 0.05.Let us make efforts to achieve the target that it gets doubled in the next ten years
.May be there is need to have coaching camps for the cheer girls and modernize dances.

Doing Nothing - Om Prakash Nautiyal

One is often confronted with the question: “what are you doing these days?” if you say that you are doing nothing. They look shocked as if doing nothing is a simple task. Some even dare to continue their quizzing, “How do you pass your time then ”. They tend to make you believe that time waits for you for its time passing , and the time will stand frozen if you do not let it pass. Had this been so every individual might have his/her own time zone. They probably are confused with the theory of relativity (they might not have dared to try it when the question on relativity was asked in their examination.) and treat time as fourth dimension whose origin is different for different persons. They do not seem to believe that time and tide and tide wait for none.
I have experienced that doing nothing is the most challenging task for it is simply impossible to have a time frame to finish it .If you do something , you may probably have a schedule but to work timelessly without a schedule makes doing nothing such an Herculean task that people often tend to engage them in useless activities and are rather scared from the thought of doing nothing and think that it is probably impossible for them to cope up to this challenge .One more discouraging factor for them may be that they think if they tirelessly engage themselves in doing nothing they may not get time to relax after doing nothing .The very thought is scary . For a wise man has said that the most satisfying thing in life is: “To do nothing and take rest afterwards”
All this daunt them to no limit to keep them away from doing nothing and they start believing that doing nothing is impossible. They forget that there have been great people in this world whose deeds continue to inspire and motivate us and they have simply discarded this theory that doing nothing is impossible. They have stood up against all odds and experienced the fruits of doing nothing. It is only a matter of mustering enough courage and making a start for doing nothing and one is bound to succeed. “The writing on the wall” – The World of Face book
I was just scanning an article which mentioned that millions of children world over gets scolding or punishment for scribbling or writing on the school or house walls. Human beings have this instinct of communicating and this gets a trigger in children just by the sight of an empty wall to the displeasure of their elders who are keen to maintain the walls bright and clean.
The creations of ancient poets, artists were also carved in stones used in forts, temples and other structures of importance for the obvious reason that walls serves as huge canvass, have endurance and lasting visibility to audiences of several generations. The origin of the phrase”writing on the wall “is also reportedly attributed to the supernatural writings on the walls of Palace of Babylon which appeared for predicting future.
Gone are the days! And we just do not like to read “the writings on the wall” anymore, more so if the wall belongs to us .We get terribly upset and agitated by this creative trespassing.
But please hold on. Look and behold! There is another world coexisting with our world and that is the World of FACE BOOK.
The inhabitants of this world are a completely transformed lot. They invite and welcome others to write on their walls and feel happy, cheerful & obliged. So please do not suppress your creative instincts .Please come, you are welcome to write anything on my wall .

Valentine Day in India
Valentine's Day celebration is comparatively a recent phenomenon in India but has understandably caught the fancy of youth. People celebrate the Valentine's Day by exchanging cards and gifts, letters etc.
Three humorous love letters presumably written by a Mathematician, HR Executive and an Accountant to their Valentine are reproduced here on this occassion. The source of these letters is Internet.
Love letter from a Mathematician
Dear Sweetheart
Yesterday, I was passing by your rectangular house in trigonometric lane. There I saw you with your cute circular face, conical nose and spherical eyes, standing in your triangular garden.
Before seeing you, my heart was a null set, but when a vector of magnitude (likeness) from your eyes at a deviation of theta radians made a tangent to my heart, it differentiated.

मैं समय का बदलता नजरिया हूँ ,
स्वयं को भूलते रहने की प्रक्रिया हूँ ।
मुझे अब लोग कम पहचानते हैं ,
कुछ भ्रमित नवोदित तो
मेरा अस्तित्व तक नकारते हैं ।
उसने सभी को उनके नामों से बुलाया,
सना , शीना ,अलीना कई बार दोहराया ।
अपने भी होने का बोध कराने के लिए ,
उसका मासूम स्नेह पाने के लिए ,
मैंने कहा , मैं भी यहाँ हूँ ,
मैं सच हूँ
ना कि पौराणिक कथा का पात्र हूँ ,
या धुंधले इतिहास की व्यथा मात्र हूँ ,
पर उसका स्वर निर्णायक था , कहा -
नहीं मैं 'कोई नहीं'
मैंने फ़िर दलील दी ,
मैं भी सबकी तरह साँस लेता हूँ,
बेखुदी तक में ख़ुद को भांप लेता हूँ ,
मेरी धड़कनों की कम्पन स्पष्ट है ,

Why is the media here so negative?
Why are we in
We are the first in milk production.
We are number one in Remote sensing satellites.
We are the second largest producer of wheat.
We are the second largest producer of rice.
Look at Dr. Sudarshan , he has transferred the tribal village into a self-sustaining, self-driving unit.
There are millions of such achievements but our media is only obsessed in the bad news and failures and disasters.
I was in Tel Aviv once and I was reading the Israeli newspaper. It was the day after a lot of attacks and bombardments and deaths had taken place. The Hamas had struck. But the front page of the newspaper had the picture of a Jewish gentleman who in five years had transformed his desert into an orchid and a granary. It was this inspiring picture that everyone woke up to. The gory details of killings, bombardments, deaths, were inside in the newspaper, buried among other news.

त्याग,समर्पण ,ज्ञान , कर्म का अद्भुत इसमें वास ।
निर्गम,दुर्गम वन हों , थल हो , या हो सिन्धु विशाल
तेल कार्मिक अविचल निर्भय, डटे ठोंक कर ताल ।

विदेशी विशेषज्ञों ने की थी , अपनी राय यह व्यक्त
तेल की बूँद नहीं भारत में , पूर्वोत्तार के अतिरिक्त ।
भारतीय भुविदों ने दर्शायी तब उन्हें तेल की धार ,
खोज लिए निज देश में , कई तेल गैस भंडार ।

गैस कह रही तेल से , तू क्यों तरल शरीर
एक मां की संतान पर , मैं तो चंचल अधीर ।

नन्ही सी उम्र में वर्ष वर्ष जोड़ कर
पहुंचे हो आज तुम वय के इस मोड़ पर,
असमंजस में स्वयं को ढूंढ़ते खड़े हो
तुम न अब छोटे हो, न ठीक से बड़े हो ।
कैशौर्य में विचरते हो , यौवन के पास हो
सबके अजीज हो तुम सबके ख़ास हो ,
तनाव में कभी, कभी उलझन में लगते हों
मित्रों की पर अपने,सभी बातों पे हँसते हो ।
अनुभव , तर्क की बातें अनमने से सुनते हो
अधपकी समझ से वितर्कों के जाल बुनते हो ,
इस उम्र में होता है यह, न तुम्हारा कुसूर है
हमको प्यार है तुमसे हमें तुम पर गुरूर है ।

बाढ़ का पानी
बाढ़ का पानी

जिस जगह जाती नज़र , है मंजर तबाही का
देखो कहाँ तक फैला बेदर्द बाढ़ का पानी ।
नदियाँ कहाँ अब जा रही, सागर से मिलने को
समंदर को अन्दर ला रहा ,जालिम बाढ़ का पानी ।
सड़के नहीं रही थी , जो पैदल के भी लायक
सफीने वहां चलवा रहा, गहरा बाढ़ का पानी ।
उनके हवाई दौरे , घडियाली आंसू और वादे
क्या नौटंकी करवा रहा , विदूषक बाढ़ का पानी ।
बनता बड़ा जाँ बाज , उछल कर ऊँचे बांधो से
दीन झुग्गियां डूबा रहा , निर्दयी बाढ़ का पानी ।
छोटा बड़ा जो भी मिला सबको साथ ले गया ,
कितनो के प्राण पी गया ,प्यासा बाढ़ का पानी ।
जलमग्न सब कुछ कर ,अब बड़प्पन दिखा रहा
बनता है पानीदार , महा ढोंगी बाढ़ का पानी ।

(Excerpts from my address on 17th May 2006 as Chairman Institute of Electronics & Telecommunication Enginners,Vadodara Centre, Source of information –ITU & published literature)
On May 24th 1844 Samuel Morse sent his first public message over a telegraph line between Washington and Baltimore. The message said “What hath God wrought”
It was the beginning of telecommunication era in the world.
Communication Network across the globe today integrates a huge range of technologies yet remains one of the most reliable system ever developed and is the planet’s largest man made object.
The International Telecommunication Union, then known as International Telegraph Union ,was established on 17th May 1865 in Paris as an impartial international organization within which Govt. and private sector could work together to coordinate the operation of telecommunication networks and services and advance the development of communication technologies. So it is 143 years ago ITU began facilitating world to communicate .
World Telecom Day was held for the first time in 1969 as a resolution of ITU administrative council.17th May is celebrated as world communication day across the world as birth anniversary of ITU to spread awareness about the role of communication technologies and to redeem our pledge to bridge technological differences and promote interconnectivity to all.
However, 22 years ago it was realized that not all people are sharing the social and economic benefits that telecommunication creates. In 1985 ITU released its landmark Maitland report known as the missing link, which was first to clearly identify the digital divide. Since the publication of the report ITU has been working to bring the benefits of Information and communication technologies to all humanity.
From the birth of telegraph, through radio and television broadcasting to satellite communication and to the internet to digital revolution in information and communication technologies, the work of ITU has helped harness the power of Science and Technology to fulfill the basic human need for communication. However, the true test is the extent to which today’s powerful knowledge based communication tools are able to connect different people across geographic, knowledge and information divides ,especially in the most impoverished countries.
In 2003 in Geneva the first World Summit on Information Systems was held.175 countries endorsed declaration and plan of action that embrace the idea of universal and affordable access to ICTs.

2002: ICT for all-empowering people to cross the digital divide
2003: Helping all world people to communicate”
2004: ICTs leading ways for sustainable development

2007: Connecting the Young: the opportunities of ICT
2008: Connecting Persons with Disabilities: ICT Opportunities for All
The role of ITU has been evolving with its earlier focus on communication to ICTs to gradually shifting to information society for development of mankind .
Also to under- score its commitment to changing the global information society and help nations to bridge the digital divide, The second WSIS summit in Tunis in Nov.2005, therefore, proposed that 17th May henceforth be celebrated as World Information Society Day.(WISD)
UN General Assembly adopted resolution to this effect on 27th March 2006 .The
official celebration of WISD in 2006 was a cluster of web related activities which commenced from 9th May 2006.
In 2006 it was, therefore. a celebration with dual names of WTD and WISD .
World Telecommunication and Information Society Day:
In November 2006, the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference in Antalya, Turkey, decided to celebrate both events i.e. World Telecommunication Day and World Information Society Day on 17 May as World Telecommunication and Information Society Day (WTISD) .
Theme for WTISD 2008 is :
“Connecting Persons with Disabilities: ICT Opportunities for All .”

दिवाली इस बार भी आई और फ़िर चली गई

है कुहराम देश में चैन की वो नींद सोते हैं
लाचार आदमी देखो किसी मौसम नहीं सोता ।
'जेड' सुरक्षा का उन पर ऐसा सख्त पहरा है
जनता का कोई कष्ट उन तक आने नहीं देता ।

--Don't participate beyond paying your dues "let them handle things"--attitude. Then complain that members have no voice in management.
--Decline all officers and committee appointments-you're too busy. Then offer vociferous advise on how they should do things.
--If appointed to a committee, don't work - "it's a courtesy appointment." Then complain because the organization has stagnated.
--Don't attend any of the activities planned. Then complain that nothing is provided for you.
--If you attend meetings, don't initiate new ideas. Then play devil's advocate to those submitted by others.
--Don't rush to pay your dues - they're too high anyway. Then complain about poor financial management.
--Don't encourage others to become members - that's selling. Then complain that membership is not growing.
--Don't read mail from the association - it's not important. Then complain that you're never informed.
--Don't volunteer your talents - that's ego fulfillment. Then complain that you're never asked and never appreciated.
--And, if by chance, the organization grows in spite of your contributions, grasp every opportunity to tell the youngsters how tough it was and how hard you worked in the old days to bring the organization to its present level of success

अनुभव -Experience
Experience says Oscar Wild , is the name given to our mistakes .We all, however, agree that experience is a great teacher. It teaches us in a slow but surest way through our own experience .There are things in life for which there are no short cuts and one has to learn them through his or her own practical experience involving in the pains and pleasures of the learning journey. One can not learn cycling, swimming ,boxing, fighting, kite flying, management practices and ample other things in life simply by reading books or through a correspondence course. As Iris Murdock has said,” we can only learn to love by loving”
Nehru ji in his famous letters written to daughter Indira has categorized three types of people. Wise people who learn from the mistakes or experiences of others. Average people who learn from their own mistakes and fools who learn from none and go on repeating same mistakes time and again in similar situations.
There are, however, things as mentioned earlier which even the wise people have to learn through their experience. One has to learn through cautious, devoted and persistent practical learning to gain expertise.There are thus two types of learnings one which are taught in school and the other which experience teaches . One may or may not have choice of options for resorting to one of methodologies depending upon what one is trying to learn.
Tom Bodett has very aptly differentiated the learnings from school and life. According to him :
“The difference between learnings from school and life is that in school you are first taught the lessons and then given a test. In life you are given a test first that teaches you a lesson”
The essence is that learn whatever is possible to learn from the experience of others and leave only the bare essentials for your own experience e.g never drive car on the highway after reading the book “ How to become an expert driver –Ten easy lessons”
Gauging experience merely through age factor is also a fallacy. Even two years’ experience of a doctor employed in a big hospital in a metro is meaningful in terms of quality and utility than the experience acquired by an equally qualified doctor practicing in a town for several years. So comparing experience of two persons in similar field is also a job of an experienced person.
Barry Partner says “ Good judgement comes from experience and experience comes from bad judgement”

इस बार होली में
इस बार होली में ------ओंम प्रकाश नौटियाल

रंगत लिए हों प्यार की बरसाना ऐसे रंग
तकरार का क्या काम इस बार होली में ।
जो कुछ कहो किसी से हो मीठी जुबान में
मृदु वाणी ही मिष्ठान हो इस बार होली में ।
इठलाती टोलियाँ हों खुशियाँ ठिठोलियाँ हों
हर चेहरे पर शबाब हो इस बार होली में ।
अट्टालिका से उतरो और खेलो झुग्गियों में
यारों मिटा दो उंच नीच इस बार होली में ।
इस देश में कोई भी अब न खौफजदा हों
भाषा जाति छेत्र न पूछो इस बार होली में ।
रंगो की रंगीनियत से हों रंगीन हर एक रंग
जीवन में रंग ही रंग हों इस बार होली में ।
